Measuring Cultural Impact Across Flagship Events

The Challenge: Turning Events into Evidence
Despite a client’s growing number of large-scale cultural events each year, there was no consistent framework to measure their real impact. Without robust data, it was difficult for public institutions and partners to understand the outcomes of their investments — or to communicate the broader value of these events to society. The client aimed to address this by launching a first-of-its-kind impact reporting initiative for three flagship events.
How to create a replicable approach to measurement — one that captured more than just visitor numbers?
Our Approach: From Attendance to Impact
Evertruss led the strategic design and oversight of this initiative, in partnership with a specialist research agency and social impact researcher. Together, we developed a rigorous methodology and delivered three full-cycle impact reports across the following pillars:
1
2
3
Primary Research & Data Collection
Designed and executed in-person attendee surveys, stakeholder interviews, and post-event data gathering across multiple touchpoints.
Strategic Alignment
Built a Theory of Change framework to connect event outcomes with broader cultural, social, and economic goals.
Insights & Reporting
Translated raw data into clear, actionable insights through executive summaries and full reports, highlighting outcomes such as audience segmentation, economic contribution, creative industry development, and public perception.

Final Chapter: Making Culture Count
This project reflects what Evertruss does best — turning vision into clarity and creativity into measurable value. By bridging strategy, research, and storytelling, we helped our client go beyond anecdotes and attendance, building the case for why cultural events matter — to people, to places, and to the future.
